The general term for nose reconstruction surgery is rhinoplasty. At upper left, an incision is made in the cartilage between the nostrils where the defect is located. At lower left, the dorsal bone and cartilage are roughened with a rasp. At upper right, a costal cartilage graft is inserted into the defect area. At lower right, the graft is seen in place after the surgery is completed.
