Georgy Mikhailovich Beriev (1903-1979), Soviet aircraft designer. The design bureau he led, named after him, mainly produced amphibious aircraft and flying boats. Beriev (born in Georgia as Beriashvili) was awarded the Stalin Prize in 1947 and the USSR State Prize in 1968. He was a Doctor of Technology and Major General of the Engineering Technical Service. This photograph is from the Zhukovsky Museum, Moscow, Russia.
