Insect-nematode research. Entomologist inspecting insect cadavers (dead bodies) infected with nematodes. Nematodes are small unsegmented worms that feed on a wide range of organisms and materials. They are one of the organisms being investigated for use as biological pest control of insects that are agricultural pests. This research is being carried out by the Agricultural Research Service of the US Department of Agriculture.
