Bladder cancer. Axial computed tomography (CT) scan of the pelvis of a patient with bladder cancer (dark spots, bottom centre). This is a malignant (cancerous) tumour that has arisen from the epithelium of the bladder lining. In most cases, the first symptom is blood in the urine (haematuria).
