Cutaneous mastocytosis. This is a skin disorder that commonly occurs in children and infants. Itchy, brown patches appear on the skin due to abnormal collections of mast cells. Mast cells are a type of white blood cell that are part of the body's immune system. Treatment is with oral antihistamine tablets or topical steroid cream.
