Water molecules in ice, computer artwork. At normal pressure, water freezes into ice at 0 degrees Celsius. Water molecules (formed of oxygen atoms, red, and hydrogen atoms, green) arrange themselves in a lattice crystal structure. This lattice is held together by hydrogen bonds, or attractions between the slightly positively charged hydrogen and slightly negatively charged oxygen.
