Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) feeding in a sea grass bed. Green sea turtles are found in warm tropical waters. They are herbivorous, eating algae and sea grasses, and can grow up to 1.5 metres in length. During the breeding season, these turtles will migrate thousands of miles to return to their hatching site. The islands of the Celebes Sea are important nesting grounds for this species. Photographed off Sabah in Malaysia.
