Pox virus, coloured electron micrograph (SEM) of Molluscum contagiosum a viral infection of the human skin sometimes called water warts. It is caused by a DNA pox virus called the molluscum contagiosum virus (MCV). Although highly infectious most people are immune to the virus with mainly young children, the sexually active and people with a weaken immune system affected.
