Sertoli cell adenoma of the testis. Light micrograph showing a section of a human testis with Sertoli cell adenoma. Sertoli cells are found in the seminiferous tubules within the testis and their function is to nourish the developing sperm. Here an adenoma has developed from Sertoli cell tissue. An adenoma is a benign tumour of glandular tissue which has the potential to develop into a malignancy (cancer). Cells stained with HES. Magnification: x110 when printed at 10cm wide.
