Front row (left to right): US physicist Robert Andrews Millikan (1868-1953; Physics Nobel 1923), Polish-French physicist and chemist Marie Curie (1867-1934; Physics Nobel 1903, Chemistry Nobel 1911), Italian physicist Guglielmo Marconi (1874-1937; Physics Nobel 1909), and Danish physicist Niels Bohr (1885-1962; Physics Nobel 1922). Also present: US physicist Arthur Compton (1892-1962; Physics Nobel 1927; behind Curie) and French physicist Jean Baptiste Perrin (1870-1942; Physics Nobel 1926; top right).
