Secondary or metastatic breast cancer. Light micrograph (LM) of a section from an affected lymph node. It is common for breast cancer to spread to the lymph nodes in the armpit. Prognosis is poorer when cancer has spread to the lymph nodes (lymph node-positive). The more lymph nodes that contain cancer, the poorer prognosis tends to be. The cancer cells are large and pink in colour. Magnification: x80 when printed at 10 centimetres wide. Human tissue.
