Chimneys and sign at the Verkhnetagilskaya State District Thermal Power Plant in the Sverdlovsk region, Russia. This coal and natural gas-fired power plant, commissioned in the 1950s, was originally built to provide heat and electricity to Novouralsk Chemical Plant. It generates more than 8 million kWh of electricity a year, the majority of which is now distributed across the Sverdlovsk region.
