Students with learning disabilities in a weaving class at Pedagogic College No. Moscow, Russia. The student on the left has mosaic Down's Syndrome. Down's syndrome is caused by a chromosomal abnormality where all the cells of the body contain three copies of chromosome 21, rather than two copies. This results in learning disabilities, certain physical traits and health problems. In mosaic Down's syndrome, only some of the body's cells are affected, and the effects are generally milder than in full Down's syndrome.
