Particles of flour distributed in air to demonstrate Brownian motion. Brownian motion describes the small seemingly random movements of particles suspended in a fluid. It is named after the Scottish botanist Robert Brown, who first observed the phenomenon. It was later recognised that the movements were caused by the particles colliding with molecules.
