A surgical line inserted into a patient's body during oesophagogastrectomy surgery. The line may be used to deliver anaesthetic or other drugs. Oesophagogastrectomy is an operation to remove the lower part of the oesophagus, and the upper part of the stomach. The remaining part of the oesophagus is then surgically joined to the remaining part of the stomach. The procedure is commonly carried out to remove cancerous tissue in the region.
