Nuclear power station machine room. Piping for turbines and generators in the machine room of a nuclear power station. This is part of the Dampierre nuclear power station, in Dampierre-en-Burly, France. It opened in 1980 and is operated by the EDF energy company. It has four pressurized water reactors (PWR), each capable of generating 890 megawatts of power. Photographed in January 2012.
