White urticarial dermatographism, a condition in which the skin is hyper-sensitive to touch. Merely brushing the skin leads to a reaction. Normally this sort of allergic response is only associated with external irritants such as nettles, insect bites or certain foods or drugs. In dermatographism, however, practically any object can evoke a response. Treatment is with antihistamines, which help reduce the inflammation.
