The cauda equina is a bundle of spinal nerves that extend from the tip of the spinal cord at the L2 level to the sacral level. These nerves are located within the spinal canal. This colour coded view demonstrates individual nerve roots and tracks them as they originate from the spinal cord until they exit the neuroforamen.
