Light micrograph( LM) of a section through a ureter. The ureter is the tube that carries urine from the kidney to the urinary bladder. A thick, fibroelastic, lamina propria lies underneath the transitional epithelium.The tube has thick muscular wall which is able to contract and squeeze urine into the bladder by peristalsis. Magnification: X 60 when printed at 10cm.
