A tourist on a walkway across sawgrass prairie in the Everglades. This swamp-like landscape, known as Pa-hay-okee (river of grass), is an area of sawgrass (Cladium jamaicense) prairie containing hundreds of isolated ponds and scattered dwarf cypress trees (Taxodium ascendens).
