Trans-Alaska oil pipeline. This pipeline transports crude oil across Alaska. It transports oil from oilfields such as Prudhoe Bay Oil Field in the north, to the port at Valdez in the south, where the oil is shipped to refineries in the continental United States. The pipeline is over 1200 kilometres long and about 1.2 metres across. It crosses over 800 rivers and streams along its route. Photographed at Copper Center, Alaska, USA.
