Clockwise from top the skulls belong to; an ape, a guenon (Cercopithecus sp.), a Barbary ape (Macaca sylvanus), a howler monkey (Alouatta sp.), a mandrill (Mandrillus sphinx) and a macaque (Macaca sp.). Artwork from 'Animal Kingdom' (1817) by the French naturalist Georges Cuvier (1769-1832).
