SS Conte di Savoia ocean liner. Historical image showing the propellers of the Italian ocean liner SS Conte di Savoia. This ship was built in 1932 by the Cantieri Riuniti dell'Adriatico and was the first liner fitted with gyroscopic stabilisers. She was damaged by retreating German military in September 1943 and scrapped in 1945. Image from 'Wonders of Peace and War', by Geza Supka, Hungary, 1939.
