White Bengal tiger. This rare pigmentation variant of the Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris) is occasionally seen in the Indian states of Assam, Bengal, Bihar and the former state of Rewa. They are rare genetic variants in which the orange pigment, pheomelanin, is not produced. The Bengal tiger is found in the forests of India, hunting large mammals.
