Secondary cancer of the stomach. Gross specimen of a section of stomach showing a secondary cancer (metsastasis) that has spread from a primary cancer of the pancreas. This is an adenocarcinoma, which arises from glandular tissue. If pancreatic cancer is diagnosed early it can be treated by surgical removal, or by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Once it has spread beyond the pancreas, the prognosis is poor.
