Watched by an Inupiat hunter, the sun sets over a frozen arctic landscape near the Beaufort Sea by the settlement of Kaktovic on Barter island in Northern Alaska. Barter Island was historically named when it became an important trade centre for the Inupiat people, the island was used to barter between the Inupiat from Alaska and Inuit from Canada, hence its name.
