Spine of the sperm whale or cachalot, latin name Physeter macrocephalus, the largest of the toothed whales and the largest toothed predator on earth. It is the only member of the genus Physeter still alive. The average length of males is about 16 metres, the largest may reach 20 metres. This spine exhibited on Texel island, the Netherlands.
