Craters on Mercury. View of the Bronte (top right) and Degas (blue) craters on the surface of the planet Mercury. These craters are located in the Sobkou Planitia, a plains region formed through past volcanic activity. Imaged by NASA's MESSENGER (MErcury Surface, Space ENvironment, GEochemistry, and Ranging) spacecraft, on 12th December 2011.
