Craters on Mercury. View of a complex cratered region on the surface of the planet Mercury. The De Graft crater is visible (centre left), with a similar smaller crater to the northeast. Streaking across the image from north to south are rays from Hokusai crater, located over 1,500 kilometres away. Imaged by NASA's MESSENGER (MErcury Surface, Space ENvironment, GEochemistry, and Ranging) spacecraft, on 22nd September 2011.
