Caption

Timelapse footage of dappled light passing over bluebells (Hyacinthoides non-scripta) on a woodland floor. This plant forms dense mats in old woodlands in northwestern Europe. The leaves and flowers appear before the tree canopy closes, and both flowers and leaves die back by late spring, when the floor is in shade. Filmed in early May in the UK.
