Torn artery in fibromuscular dysplasia. X-ray of the neck of a patient with fibromuscular dysplasia, where a spontaneous arterial dissection (tear) has occurred in the internal carotid artery. Fibromuscular dysplasia is a vascular disease that causes abnormal growth within the wall of an artery leading to common complications such as aneurisms and dissections.
