Caption

Salivary gland tumour. Light micrograph of a section through a pleomorphic adenoma in the parotid gland. Adenomas are a type of benign (non-cancerous) tumour that arise from glandular tissues. They are removed because of their tendency to become malignant (cancerous). Pleomorphic adenomas are the most common type of salivary gland tumour and the most common tumour of the parotid gland.
