Salivary gland cancer. Light micrograph of a section through a cylindroma in the parotid gland. Cylindromas are tumours with nests of cells (round) that resemble a cylinder in cross section (as here). Cylindromas found in the salivary glands are usually malignant (cancerous) and most commonly adenoid cystic carcinomas.
