Frey's syndrome. Redness on the face of a child with Frey's syndrome. This is a rare neurological disorder caused by damage to or near the parotid salivary glands, and the auriculotermporal nerve. The condition causes redness and sweating on the cheek area, which occurs when the patient produces saliva.
