This structure, which was once a neolithic burial chamber (dolmen, or portal tomb), consists of large upright stones (megaliths) supporting a massive capstone. The stones were originally part of a tomb encased in a man-made hill that is no longer present. It dates from around 4200-2900 BC, during the Neolithic period.
