Brittle star pluteus larva of unknown genus, found planktonic in the North sea. These planktonic larvae have long arms supported by siliceous skeletal spicules and bands of cilia used for locomotion and feeding. Microscopic contrast technique : Differential interference contrast. Magnification 200x when printed at 10 centimetres wide.
