The Bear's Head Tooth Mushroom (Hericium americanum), White Mountain National Forest, New Hampshire, USA. Hericium americanum is North America's only Hericium species with long spines and a branched fruiting body. It is found only east of the Great Plains. Many common names are given for this fungus including lion's mane, bear's head tooth fungus, monkey head and icicle mushroom.
