Banded cleaner shrimp (Stenopus hispidus) on a reef. Even though this species of decapod crustacean is not a true shrimp. Its body is covered in spines, which are used as a defence mechanism and is often found cleaning other fish of parasites. Photographed at Cod Hole on North Ribbon reef in the Great Barrier reef, Coral Sea, Australia.
