Thatcher at health and safety site. British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (centre, 1925-2013) visiting the Health and Safety Executive's research site at Cricklewood, London, UK. The posters in the background refer to the Occupational Medicine and Hygiene Laboratory (OMHL), which formed and relocated here in 1973, being one of the precursor organisations to the Health and Safety Laboratory (HSL) that formed in 1995. The Health and Safety Executive was formed in 1975. Thatcher was Prime Minister from 1979 to 1990. Photographed in the 1980s.
