Maple sap collection. Plastic bags have been tied to the trunk of this sugar maple tree (Acer saccharum) to collect its sap. This sap is then boiled down to concentrate its sugar content forming maple syrup, which is used widely in deserts and sweets. Photographed in Detroit, USA.
