Orion's Belt and nebulae. Optical image of some of the stars of the constellation of Orion, seen in the night sky of the Northern Hemisphere. This is the bottom half of the constellation, with the prominent line of three stars at upper left known as Orion's Belt. From left, these are Alnitak, Alnilam, and Mintaka. The two bright stars at bottom left (Saiph) and bottom right (Rigel) are also part of the constellation. At lower centre is the prominent Orion Nebula (M42). The faint red nebulosity down left is a faint view of Barnard's Loop.
