Constellations of the zodiac. Celestial map of the constellations of zodiac, the region through which the Sun passes as seen from the Earth during the year. The month names are across bottom, showing the time of year when the Sun (yellow dotted track) is in that part of the sky. One non-zodiacal constellation (Ophiuchus) is also shown. The co-ordinate system on the borders is right ascension (across top, in hours, h) and declination (at right and left, in degrees). The Milky Way is visible, as are planets Jupiter and Saturn in 2006 and 2007. The arrows at bottom point vertically to the planets, which are the bright objects seen near to the Sun's path.
