Thermographic video of a man taking a warm shower. Thermography detects the infrared radiation given off by surfaces, which reveals their temperature. This is colour-coded, from dark red at normal internal body temperature, 98.4 degrees Fahrenheit (36.9 degrees Celsius), to dark blue at 71.6 F (22 degrees Celsius). The skin is significantly cooler than body temperature, and it is warmed up by the warmer water. See clip K004/9790 for the same man taking a cold shower.
