Moonfish (Mene maculata). X-ray of a section through a moonfish, showing its distinctive body shape. This Indo-Pacific fish has a nearly round flat body, a large mouth that protrudes for feeding and a long thread-like pelvic fin (bottom, centre). This specimen measures 17 centimetres in length.
