Striped bass (Morone saxatilis). X-ray of a section through a striped bass, showing its skeleton. This popular marine sport fish is native to marine and coastal habitats of eastern North America, but has been widely introduced throughout the USA. This specimen was collected from the Sacramento River, California, and measures 20.5 centimetres in length.
