Balanitis xerotica obliterans. Close-up of the head (glans) of the penis of an 35-year-old male patient affected by balanitis xerotica obliterans (BXO). Balanitis is inflammation of the glans. BXO is a skin condition in which a white ring of indurated (hardened) tissue forms near the tip of the penis that can prevent foreskin retraction.
