Coronary bypass surgical dressing. Close-up of a honeycomb dressing on the chest of an 81-year-old female patient following coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. CABG is a surgical procedure performed on the heart to treat diseased coronary arteries. A piece of healthy artery or vein is taken from another part of the body and attached (grafted) to the diseased coronary artery. This re-routes the blood flow, bypassing the blocked coronary artery. Honeycomb dressings aid healing by providing a breathable yet waterproof barrier that reduces the risk of infection, blistering and maceration, whilst also being easier to remove than traditional dressings.
