Ice pressure ridges. Lenticular cloud in the sky over pressure ridges formed in coastal sea ice. Pressure ridges form in ice cover when two sheets of ice collide with each other. Lenticular clouds (Altocumulus lenticularis) are stationary lens-shaped clouds that form in the troposphere. Photographed off the coast of Antarctica, near Scott Base.
