Caption

Grey Wagtail. High-speed footage of a male grey wagtail (Motacilla cinerea) catching mayflies in flight at the edge of a river. Grey wagtails are found throughout temperate Europe and Asia and parts of northern Africa. They are insectivorous and inhabit areas close to fast flowing streams. The adult male has a black throat, which allows it to be distinguished from the female. Footage filmed on the River Teifi, Wales, UK.
