Honey bee. High-speed footage of a honey bee (Apis mellifera) visiting blossoms to collect nectar and pollen. The bee has pollen baskets (orange) on its hind legs. The baskets, or corbiculae, are used by the bee to collect and store pollen from flowers. It carries the nectar and pollen back to its colony. Nectar is made into honey, and pollen is fed to the larvae. Filmed in Wales, UK.
